KOREA CUSTOMS SERVICE (KCS)

The KOREA CUSTOMS SERVICE (KCS) is a government agency that is responsible for managing the import and export of goods, including arrangements under free trade agreements, and customs clearance for travelers. 47 customs agencies and 3 direct agencies are affiliated with it nationwide.

The main duties of the KOREA CUSTOMS SERVICE (KCS) are to collect customs duties, domestic taxes, etc., in order to secure national revenue and to control illegal trade such as smuggling in order to establish a system of fair trade and also to prevent the import of drugs and terrorist goods and thus protect the continuing safety of society.
